Application:
planeo Rustikal grout is a product especially for grouting artificial stone facing bricks, natural stone and certain types of clinker. It is characterised by its elasticity, increased adhesion and resistance to weathering.
Preparation of the substrate:
Ensure that the joint to be grouted is free of adhesive residue and other contaminants. The facing bricks should be dry and already bonded to the adhesive underneath.
Application:
Measure out the desired amount of water in a clean container and mix it thoroughly with the appropriate proportion of planeo Rustikal grout until an even consistency is achieved. After about 3 minutes, mix the mixture again. Apply the grout to the facing bricks without soiling them. About 2 minutes after application, remove the excess grout and level and smooth the joint completely, for example with a joint spatula. The final design of the grout surface can be done with a brush. It is important to note that subsequent corrections to the joint can lead to discolouration. If the tiles are dirty, they should not be cleaned with a damp sponge or cloth. The reaction time of the grout after it has been mixed with water should not exceed 15 minutes. The curing time of the grout depends on various factors, such as the type of tile, the size of the grout joints and the humidity and temperature of the environment and substrate....
Instructions for use:
Application should be carried out under dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +20°C. Protect the freshly grouted surfaces from rain, sun, fog, dew, temperatures below +5°C and strong wind for at least 24 hours (3 days for fences) after completion of the work. Surface treatment should be carried out at the earliest 7 days after completion of the work.
Storage:
Store the grout in a dry place in the original, tightly closed containers. The shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
