The click joint along the upper edge allows this step to be connected to the flooring on the floor above. Type A is usually combined with a riser.

Which stairs can be clad??
Cladding concrete and stone stairs
Structurally sound concrete and stone stairs can be clad to fit. Major unevenness, old floor coverings and adhesive residue should first be sanded off or removed with a scraper.
Cladding wooden stairs
Wooden stairs are ideal for recladding. The staircase should also be prepared so that the new adhesive can bond properly. A random orbital sander can be used to remove adhesive residue completely.
Cladding open stair steps
Open stair steps can also be clad to a high standard. The open section can be completely closed with a riser. Alternatively, the staircase can remain open and the steps can be clad all around at the front.
Cladding risers and staircase sides
In addition to the treads themselves, the risers and side surfaces of the staircase can also be finished to match. This creates a harmonious overall look that visually connects the flooring and staircase.
Stair cladding: costs and price factors
The cost of stair cladding depends, among other things, on the number and dimensions of the steps, the selected material, the stair cladding type and the required accessories. An individual quote provides a transparent basis for further planning. Depending on the design, the total cost for a standard staircase in Germany (approx. 15–17 steps including risers, installation adhesive, side caps and other accessories) is often between €1,300 and €1,800.

Your stair treads are made individually and to size in Germany. Please allow a total of around 3 to 4 weeks for manufacture and dispatch.
We use suitable click vinyl flooring and wood flooring to produce our stair treads. They are cut to size and neatly formed around the nosing.
Yes, with some DIY skills you can fit the stair treads yourself. You will need accurate measurements, a clean, dry and level substrate and the appropriate installation adhesive. Before bonding, also make sure that the substrate is level and structurally sound.
No. The made-to-measure forming creates a clean finished edge. No additional aluminium profiles are required.
The substrate should be clean, dry, structurally sound and free from dust. On concrete and stone stairs, old coverings and adhesive residue must be sanded off or removed and larger uneven areas levelled. Wooden stairs should be carefully sanded so that the new adhesive can bond properly.
Clad stair treads should be cleaned dry regularly and only wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Use mild neutral cleaners or vinyl cleaners and avoid excess water, microfibre cloths and aggressive or abrasive care products. Stubborn stains can be carefully removed with a suitable cleaner and a soft cloth.
Yes, you can order up to five décor samples free of charge and check the colours and surfaces in advance. Please note that the samples are not formed and are intended only to give a realistic impression of your chosen décor.
