The planeo SoundFix impact sound underlay simulates a firm bond with the subfloor and is suitable for hard design floors, laminate and parquet floors. This results in greater impact sound and noise reduction than with conventional underlays. Furthermore, it ensures a higher permeability value for underfloor heating systems.

Processing instructions:

Lay out the individual strips butt to butt, but not under tension, with the "TOP" marked (white chequered) FOLIENSE SIDE UP at an angle of 90° against the laying direction of the upper covering and with a distance of 5mm to the wall and all rising building components. 1. Substrate preparation

The impact sound insulation can be installed on hard, permanently dry and level sub-floors. The surface should be swept and dust-free before processing. Allow the insulation mat to adapt in the room for about 24 hours before installing it.

Tip: When placing over screed, we recommend priming the screed to ensure the underlay has the best load-bearing capacity.

2. Lay out the underlay

Observe the official laying instructions provided in every package before laying the rolls, otherwise any warranty or guarantee claim will be invalid.

The initial stage is to plan the floor's installation direction. The footfall sound insulation is placed perpendicular to the parquet or laminate laying direction. Roll the first length against the wall and cut it with a cutter knife. The next lanes will be constructed end to end.

3. Glue the underlay

To remove the foil, fold the first strip of the underlay approximately halfway and cut the raw edge with the cutter knife. By pulling at the strip’s end, the strip can now be correctly positioned once more. As a guide, use the cut edge of the adjacent mesh. A cork float can be used to remove bumps and air pockets. As soon as half of the first sheet has been glued, the other end of the sheet is folded over, the protective film removed and pulled back. You then eliminate the cracks in this case as well. Continue this technique until all the strips are bonded together.

4. Glue the bottom

Lay out the first row of flooring, using spacers to keep the edge distances to the wall consistent. After the first row of flooring has been installed, cut the sheeting slightly at the bottom of the installed row. Be cautious not to sever the impact sound insulation. The film can then be removed after it has been cut. The floor planks are now properly aligned, attached to the adhesive surface of the insulation, and pushed. For the following rows, remove the film by sight and put the planks on until all the planks are glued.
