The planeo profile drilling screw made of hardened stainless steel is the specialised solution for screwing wooden decking directly onto an aluminium substructure. It combines the corrosion resistance of stainless steel with the necessary hardness to penetrate metal profiles efficiently.

• Hardened stainless steel (C1): In contrast to conventional A2 screws, this stainless steel can be magnetised and is significantly harder. This makes it easy to screw into aluminium profiles without the screw shearing off or damaging the head when screwed in.
• Integrated drill point: The specially shaped drill point automatically pre-cuts the thread in the aluminium substructure. This saves a complete work step, as pre-drilling the aluminium is generally not necessary.
• Precise TX25 drive: The Torx drive ensures excellent power transmission. This is particularly important when drilling through metal to prevent the bit from slipping and to enable precise positioning.
• Optimum dimensioning: With a size of 5.5 x 45 mm, the screw is perfectly matched to the standard thicknesses of decking boards and aluminium system profiles and ensures a permanent, force-fit connection.
• Economical pack size: One pack contains 200 pieces, which is sufficient for installing a decking area of approx. 4.5 m² (based on standard installation distances).

Note: While the screw drills the aluminium substructure itself, we still recommend pre-drilling and countersinking the wooden decking boards to avoid stress cracks in the wood and to guarantee a flush countersunk head.
