Description

Kährs Parquet Da Capo offers oiled and outstandingly finished oak flooring. The brushed and smoked surfaces give the room a natural ambience.

  • Excellent walking feeling
  • The surface is intricately hand-planed for a unique and natural look. When walking barefoot, you can feel the special feel of the surface.
  • Natural surface
  • Varying shades of brown give the real wood planks a lively character. Organic cracks also emphasise the natural design.
  • Robust surface
  • Thanks to the strong and hard-wearing wood, the floor is highly resistant to abrasion and micro-scratches.
  • Environmentally friendly
Kährs uses locally produced raw materials. This reduces transportation and allows for careful inspection of wood sources. All surface coatings are solvent and pollutant free.

The traditional company Kährs has been offering complete flooring solutions for private homes and commercial properties since 1857. Sweden's leading wooden flooring manufacturer invented finished parquet (multi-layer parquet) and glueless interlocking. Kährs created a patented innovation in 1941 with a multilayer wood floor that is stable and environmentally friendly. Kährs' multi-layer parquet is made from renewable raw materials and can be recycled. In 1958, Kährs launched the first factory lacquered parquet floor. The company is the first parquet manufacturer to introduce a solvent-free lacquer. In 2000, Kährs offered Woodlock, the first click-jointed parquet floor. Kährs is part of Kährs Group, the global market leader in wood flooring and PVC-free resilient flooring.

Kährs has been environmentally and quality certified since the 1990s. Locally produced raw materials are used in the production of Kährs parquet. This has some advantages such as minimized transportation and the ability to carefully check wood sources. With Kährs products, you can be sure that all surface coatings are free of solvents and toxins.

Laying guide of the parquet

Variant: DIY-Instruction

button
1. substrate check

The subfloor should be permanently dry, load-bearing and even.

ATTENTION: Never lay parquet over a soft subfloor, e.g. over carpet, cork or any type of foam underlay.

button
2. acclimatisation

The planks should be stored horizontally in the room where they are to be installed for at least 48 hours before the installation in the packages. This will allow the material to acclimatise to the room temperature and not "work" so hard after the installation.

Before laying, it is imperative that the official laying instructions, which are included in each package, are followed, otherwise any claim to warranty and guarantee will be invalidated!

button
3. subfloor preparation

Then clean the surface to be laid with a hoover. Any unevenness exceeding 3 mm per linear metre is sanded down and filled with a floor levelling compound.

Click:

button
4. before laying

Spread out the PE foil with an overlap of approx. 10 cm and tape it down. Now you can lay out the strips of impact sound insulation butt to butt against the laying direction of the floor covering and fix all overlaps with aluminium tape. The foil side should always face upwards.

Tip: Open several packages of the parquet at the same time and mix the planks to achieve an optimal installation pattern.

button
5. laying instructions

Lay the first plank well aligned on the subfloor, taking the edge distances into account. You can start laying the floor on the left side of the room. In the first row, the plank is clicked in with the front side. Use a rubber mallet to tap lightly on the front side so that the click connection snaps in well. In the next row, the planks are first clicked in with the long side and then the ends can be fixed by tapping lightly. To cut a plank, now take measurements and mark the plank. This is then cut with a jigsaw or crosscut saw.

ATTENTION: There must always be a gap of approx. 10 mm between the flooring and the wall and between the flooring and all fixed components.

button
6. last row

Cut the planks of the last row to size and click them in place using a pull iron. Finally, the planks can be tapped down again with a hammer.

button
7. finish

The PU foil is now cut approx. 2 cm high and the skirting boards can be fitted. Here there is the click or glue variant.

Glue:

button
4 Before gluing

Lay out the first two rows of planks and make marks in the subfloor with a pencil. The planks can be cut to size using a crosscut saw.

Tip: Open several packages of the parquet at the same time and mix the planks to achieve an optimal installation pattern.

button
5. laying instructions

Now pick up the planks again and apply the adhesive up to the marking with a notched trowel. Align the first plank and place it in the wet bed. The second plank is clicked into the already lying plank with the front side. The boards of the next row are laid first with the long side, then with the short side. Then the adhesive for the next two rows can be applied and the planks can be glued.

ATTENTION: There must always be a gap of approx. 10 mm between the flooring and the wall as well as to all fixed components.

button
6. last row

Finally, you can attach the skirting boards.
