Description
Rigid Vinyl comes as a new development of the classic vinyl floor for many applications. The state-of-the-art Rigid Board improves several properties of vinyl flooring.
- SPC carrier board (Stone-Powder-Composite) The essential differences to classic vinyl flooring are caused by additives partly made of stone dust and strengthening additives in the carrier material. They ensure very robust and rigid properties. This is why the carrier board is also called rigid board in technical jargon.
- Temperature resistant The floor is more resistant to temperature fluctuations due to its RIGID core board. Due to its low expansion & shrinkage behaviour, a larger installation area is possible without an expansion joint.
- Robust Rigid vinyl flooring is resistant to deformation & dimensional stability and can be laid without problems on old floor coverings such as PVC, linoleum, old floorboards or tiles, where larger joints do not press through as quickly.

1. Substrate preparation
Check for dust and level out any unevenness at the start. A screed scraper can easily remove minor bumps. You can use a spirit level to check whether the surface is smooth enough on a regular basis. Using a vacuum cleaner, clean the entire surface.

2. Acclimatization
For at least 48 hours prior to installation, the vinyl planks should be stored horizontally in the packs in the room where they will be installed. This allows the material to acclimate to room temperature and reduces the amount of "work" required after laying.

3. Laying instructions
Before laying of the planks, the official laying instructions included in each package must be followed; otherwise, any warranty and guarantee claims will be invalid!
It is best to mix and lay floorboards from different packs to achieve the most uniform floor possible. Using the 5 mm tapping block and a hammer, join the next complete plank to the front of plank 1. Lay the remaining planks in this row in the same manner across the entire width of the room. When working with a hammer and tapping block is not possible due to a lack of space, you can use a pull bar to click the front connection together. To cut a plank, first measure and mark it. Then, using a square, score the plank with a utility knife, cut through, and snap off the back impact sound insulation. You can easily create and lay the floor sections in the next row.
ATTENTION: When laying, keep the edge distances of 5mm.

4. Attach baseboards
Finally, attach the baseboards with a mounting adhesive.
