Floor profiles
the many uses of floor profiles

Floor profiles are ideal for neatly finishing off expansion joints, transitions or even landings and steps. Depending on your specific situation, there are many options to choose from: adjustment profiles, transition profiles, end profiles or angle profiles.

Floor profiles - for seamless floor transitions

Wherever your floor covering meets other components, floor profiles ensure the perfect transition. They secure and fix the two edges, increasing the durability of your floor covering and creating an attractive feature. Transition profiles close the join between different floor coverings; adjustment profiles compensate for height differences. We also offer stair nosing profiles, specifically for step edges.

Floor profiles offer maximum protection for floor coverings

For your new floor covering to last, you need profiles that protect the edges. Open joints and edges in floor coverings occur both at the transition from floor to wall and between different kinds of coverings. Everyday use damages these areas. This can be easily avoided with the right floor profile. Depending on the location of installation, we have the floor profile to ensure a flawless appearance and secure fixing to the subfloor. Profiles fulfil numerous roles:

  • Floor profiles protect the edges of the floor covering from damage
  • Adaptation profiles soften thresholds with their rounded shape
  • Transition profiles conceal open edges and joints between floor coverings
  • Wall end profiles neatly connect floor coverings to doors and floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Floor profiles of all kinds make cleaning the floor easier

Adjustment profiles compensate for differences in height

As a rule, thresholds occur at the transition between tiled floors and other coverings. Two different construction heights and covering thicknesses mean joins that are not adequately protected break and have to be repaired after a short time. We can solve this problem with matching profiles that cover and permanently protect the join between the two coverings. With their curved shape, these profiles visually soften height differences and reduce trip hazard. Attractive designs in matt stainless steel, bronze-effect aluminium or luxurious ‘silver’ finish are just a few options. An alternative to matching profiles are robust angle profiles that protect the edges of coverings at door thresholds and on step edges.

Self-adhesive floor profiles for simple installation

For transitions between very thick floor coverings with correspondingly deep joints, an elevation block, which is screwed to the subfloor, serves as a substructure for fixing the floor profile. Our self-adhesive aluminium rails are particularly easy to install. A few minutes is all that’s needed to install them. Just cut the profile to the desired length, remove the protective film from the adhesive strip on the back and press the profile gently onto the floor covering. Many floor profiles have grooves on the long side that make them particularly flexible and prevent them from slipping. Ensure a flawless appearance and long-term protection of your floor coverings with floor profiles.
