Kährs created a patented innovation in 1941 with a multilayer wood floor that is stable and environmentally friendly. Kährs' multi-layer parquet is made from renewable raw materials and can be recycled. In 1958, Kährs launched the first factory lacquered parquet floor. The company is the first parquet manufacturer to introduce a solvent-free lacquer. In 2000, Kährs offered Woodlock, the first click-jointed parquet floor. Kährs is part of Kährs Group, the global market leader in wood flooring and PVC-free resilient flooring.

Kährs has been environmentally and quality certified since the 1990s. Locally produced raw materials are used in the production of Kährs parquet.
